Well done Beth oh and you make a lovely witch

Beth has really grown all of sudden and several people have commented on this, but I guess we shouldn’t be too surprised considering she has had size 8+ feet for some time (I have said for sometime she will grow into those feet), but she has also grown in other ways, in character and confidence and certainly not the shy Beth we knew not so long ago, but again I guess that is not surprising with her 15th birthday next week.

Today is ‘RED NOSE DAY’ for those of you who don’t live in England, it is a fund raising day with the slogan ‘do something funny for money’ and all the funny business unites our nation in trying to make a difference to the lives of thousands of people all over the world. For more info click on this link http://www.rednoseday.com

Well in a bid to raise money for ‘Red Nose Day’ Beth’s school decided that the students could go dressed as a character from a film, show, TV programme or book and pay £1. So thanks to Beth’s fabtabulous sister Jessie’s great idea Beth went as Elphaba the witch from the musical ‘Wicked’. I think you will agree she makes a real ‘wicked witch’. I’m hoping the green make-up comes off ok as it hasn’t off my finger!!!

On another note (Beth will probably have a few words to say to me like ‘Mum why did you write that in your post’ when she reads this) Beth got a special certificate in recognition of her achieving a ‘Learner Mark 2’ in all her lessons. The letter we received in the post this morning stated that ‘Bethany has an excellent approach to learning and we are very proud to have her at Hind Leys College.’ This is the highest mark (the marks are -2, -1, 1 or 2) and she just one of 8 students out of a total of 216 students that received this award which was presented to her in her years assemble this week. Well done Beth we are very proud of you love you to bits.

Sweet cheese Betty-boo, as Luther Vandross once melodically sung, someone will one day say "Beth, there's only you in my life....Two hearts that beat as one, Our lives have just begun."
You may want to lose the green paint when that day arrives...or maybe not, it could come from someone in Greenland.
